The Amazon Go store is the first of its type. A grocery store where the customer doesn't have to scan or explicitly pay. The customer uses the Amazon Go app and scans the unique barcode as they enter the store through sliding gates. Once in, the customer grabs the food they're after and then walk out, without queuing or paying. The groceries are all automatically billed to the customer's Amazon account.
The Just Walk Out system uses technology that automatically detects when products are taken from or return to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart.
