New Zealand clothing retailer AS Colour, has launched a virtual stylist digital assistant designed to help customers add colour to their wardrobes. Consumers stand in front of the shop window at AS Colour’s Britomart store in New Zealand which will then analyse and rate their outfit by determining how original and fresh the colours look and advise whether or not the colour combinations look right. It then gives the customer advice on what colours and pieces they should be mixing into their wardrobes.
“When it comes to making style decisions, many shoppers struggle to know exactly what they are looking for,” said AS Colour Art Director Stephen Richardson in a statement. “The Colourmatic acts as your own personal fashion critic, identifying where you need help and providing solutions.” Sales rose 16% since the launch of the campaign.
