Old Navy Adopts AI-Powered RFID Tech for Real-Time Inventory and Enhanced In-Store Experience

Old Navy is rolling out Radar/ Radar’s technology across its stores. It’s an advanced system that integrates RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and computer vision to enhance in-store inventory management and customer service. It will give store associates real-time inventory visibility, helping them quickly locate items and improve the customer experience by precise inventory tracking//

The system will help staff track items with pinpoint accuracy, making it easier to manage restocks and fulfill online orders picked up in stores.

Here’s how it works:​

1. RFID-Tagged Merchandise
Each item in the store is embedded with an RFID chip, allowing for wireless identification and tracking. ​

2. Overhead Scanners and AI Integration

3. Real-Time Inventory Visibility
Store associates have access to up-to-the-minute inventory data, enabling them to quickly locate products, restock shelves efficiently, and fulfill online orders promptly
