Barneys in the US have introduced digital store directories which appear on large touch screens placed in key locations throughout the department store, including near elevators and stairs. The interfaces allow customers to quickly view what is on each floor and find out more detailed information about that location if necessary.
A search box and brand list also lets them look for a specific brand or designer. Along with this vital information, the main screen includes a feature allowing Barney’s to highlight special events, sales or products.
